You do know that Bloc party did not make this free to download! Please do some research...

Plus it's a shame how absent minded you seem to be...
  • nick · 1 year ago
what else would you expect from this place? garbage, just like this band
  • Michael Roffman · 1 year ago
Nick, to be fair, you're the one scourging through it... garbage. Apparently.

Agreed, Bloc Party is dead to me
  • Shawn Hinojosa · 1 year ago
I'll get that changed, CrazyBlue. Sorry.

Could you send me an e-mail inquiring about my absent-mindedness? I'd love to have a discussion with you about this band.

oddly enough I don't really get these guys, but thought mercury came across really well at lollapalooza

Check your article for grammar, "too" not "to". You lost all credibility as a reviewer when you mentioned the free download nonsense. it is clear you are looking for an easy band to put down and you do it on the merit on their new single Mercury clearly. I would say that it is one of the worst songs on the album but I think most of the rest is mind blowing and original.

Give it a chance and I bet you change your mind.

You lose all credibility in my mind when you use mind blowing to describe Bloc Party. Nothing this band has done or will do fits merits that description.

I don't see how this is a bad review, because the album IS terrible. Depending on which musical background you come from, this album could seem better than others, but to be honest, it really seems like a rushed mess of over production and a weak attempt at buying into the dance music genre.

They should've stuck with their 'indie' tag.
