The mood, weather, and atmosphere seem appropriate. By chance did they play "The Straight and The Narrow?" I was disappointed that they didn't at Pitchfork, but they were still one of the top acts hands down. It's trippy song, soothing, and makes me think of a time-traveling priest floating through space.

/Great article.

Re: http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/09/09/spiritualized-blesses-the-metro-98/

tankboy, it does end abruptly, but with that song, I'm so used to it going on and on, that it felt weird to just end.

Re: http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/09/09/spiritualized-blesses-the-metro-98/

Whoops, sorry, forgot to sign in ... the above comment was mine.

Re: http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/09/09/spiritualized-blesses-the-metro-98/

"Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" is supposed to end abruptly.

Re: http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/09/09/spiritualized-blesses-the-metro-98/

I never said "Come Together" finished the encore, Matt. Those two songs back-to-back were mindblowing.

Re: http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/09/09/spiritualized-blesses-the-metro-98/

umm...setlist?...
