To each its own, I just miss the old Veo, it was different fun and innovative. This is just remastered and completely boring music. Guitar is amazing, synth I give credit, but the vocals are boring.

Are you the phil that wrote this? I own the cd and can tell you that I love the singer and can actually relate to the lyrics unlike most bands! And the synth you are just giving credit? Your musical pallet probably yearns for emo or numetal, haha! The old singer sounded like a dying cat and I know this because I have heard the old songs lumped together with the new mission veo on the internet and I couldnt believe it was the same singer.

Good bands get bad reviews all the time. But how come no one pointed our that with all these high pitched cry baby emo singers we actually want to hear someone with a low voice sing about how much life sucks. I just cant stand a lot of my generations music and I want something real and I think they are. Thats just my opinion but did the writer even hear the album or read a single lyric. It seems to me like a good writer that was too eager to pounce instead of doing his homework.

first off i don't think anyone should be bashing the writer just because he didn't praise the band - i think this band is pretty good, but i agree that the vocal is boring & generic but i might go see this band live i think 50/50

Yeah, Flowers song's used to be kinda dark and self-loathing. and these guys are just on the bandwagon that Morrissey/Smith/Curtis started. Only less talented than most on the bandwagon.

i own this album and its one of my favorites. this song
is not the best one its more radio friendly though. the
rest of the album is a lot darker and probably one of the
best indie albums out right now.

Get enough attention? This article was written about a year ago and it still gets comments to this very day, such as the comment you left yourself. lol. I think they get attention enough. lol. Great band in the past tense when Cory was still about.
