Bush's presidency had a soundtrack this would be it. Lameness to the max... un-rad... DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDD.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

Well no matter what, the red album will surpass make believe - this first single is worlds ahead of beverly hills. i'm def feeling this track, but you all gave KROQ much more cred than they should have at the moment. indie 103.1 and kroq are run by the same people, kcrw and kxlu are the only "indie" radio stations in LA.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

man so close! all they had to do was throw in the solo in the 3rd verse and i'd be all for this new album

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

This is a return to form of serious magnitude. The first guitar refrain had me doubting Rivers' sanity, but the chorus made me feel 14 again. And once you've heard it a few times the verse becomes a piece of genius.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

Back to the basics for Weezer?

http://saynoradio.com/2008/...

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

This is solid and i am really stoked for the new album. I heard it was going to be the red album and judging by pic above I heard right. Yea there is def some pinkerton in there but I can also hear some of the green albums lyrical style in there as well. I think this album is going to be great!

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

I really like it.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

I think it sounds more Maladroit-eske, but that's just me.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

Sounds great to me...like the good old days...welcome back Weezer.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

Hey! Seems like they are always a couple months behind Indie 103.1 anyways. And they of course are a moth behind KCRW. Poor KROQ though, I used to listen to them all the time growing up in SoCal, but they really have lost focus of their motto, "LA and Orange Counties ONLY new rock."

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

Well, whatever the General says... :)

I like it. Pinkerton is loose and fun. The real lack of sing songy backing vocals and harmonies are missed from the old days with Matt Sharp. Rivers should get him back in the band, delete this album, and start over.

Re: Check Out: Weezer - “Pork and Beans”

this is pure weezer, pinkerton days sound to it!! hopefully this album is way better than make believe which was NOT weezer
